ELIGIBILITY: Client must show one piece of photo identification. Clients must complete and sign the “General Eligibility Requirements for Clients” and “Authorization for Consent of Release of Information” forms. Eligibility must be determined by a face-to-face interview. Assistance is dependent upon availability of funds and pantry items. Must be a Henderson county resident. Must meet the Kentucky Department of Agriculture low income limits. Assistance is given for emergency situations only and not as a continual means of support. Client cannot have received maximum assistance in the last year. Before assistance is given, the client must verify his/her ability to pay the balance of the bill. A client must have original bill and cut out notice to receive utility assistance. Pantry items are given on an every 30- day basis. If a client receives food stamps, food can be given no sooner than two weeks after the receipt of the food stamps.
SERVICES: Utility Assistance up to $100.00 with cut out notice. Rent assistance up to $100.00 with eviction notice on Outreach letterhead or first month’s rent or emergency lodging. Prescription assistance for life threatening purposes. Pantry assistance on an every thirty day basis. Transportation assistance (emergency). CSFP Commodities. Kentucky Works Program & Referral Services.
